The Colony is located inside both the Lewisville Independent School District and the Little Elm Independent School District. The Lewisville ISD has built six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school inside the city limits. The Little Elm ISD is currently building a K-8 Stem Academy in The Tribute subdivision with a focus on teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics to meet demand for the technology dependent society of today and tomorrow.
